The only real failure in life is not to be true to the best one knows

In times of distress, religion brings hope, and sometimes even meaning to your problems.

These are all quotes by Buddha and can be applied to almost any hardship -

All that we are is the result of what we have thought. If a man speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows him. If a man speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows him, like a shadow that never leaves him.

Ambition is like love, impatient both of delays and rivals.

Wish Buddha would have told this to me three months ago.

In a controversy the instant we feel anger we have already ceased striving for the truth, and have begun striving for ourselves.

a favorite of mine.

Work out your own salvation. Do not depend on others.

Weekend Guests

June 15th, 2009 | Category: general

Wow I had such a great weekend. Can’t even begin to describe it in words. I love having visitors! Sunil & Sarah from LA and Melissa from DC — good times this weekend. I’ll post the pictures this evening. Melissa and I talked about this at least 5 times – how great it is to hang out with these other young people who get up and do stuff on the weekends – no lazy bums allowed. It makes you feel alive, ambitious, and just excited for life. Got some funny stories, the po stopped by our condo complex. Simon and Ramrod will certainly appreciate 3 squad cars parked outside, same explosive reason as usual.
